The activities of this group are an effort to plan and provide technical and engineering services to increase the level of performance and serviceability of structures against earthquakes based on the goal of retrofitting. The expected performance level of each structure is determined based on factors such as age, importance, urban location, role in crisis management, and economic justification and financial capacity to allocate funds for seismic retrofitting.
