Project description:
The Amir Kabir Tunnel and Underpass is under construction in the east of Tehran Bazaar, between the intersection of Amin Huzoor and Imam Ali Highway. After passing under Shahrivar 17th Street and Shokoufeh Street, this tunnel reaches the Police Station Square and is divided into two branches, the northern and southern.
The northern tunnel along Darodian Street, as an east-west route from Imam Ali Highway towards Amin Huzoor, and the southern tunnel as a west-east route along Kerman Street, connect the aforementioned area to Imam Ali Highway.

Amirkabir Tunnel Shaft
The Embarkebir Tunnel has two shafts with a diameter of 10 meters, which are drilled using the NATM method. Shafts are drilled in horizontal and vertical stages. The depth of these shafts is 20 and 32 meters, and the thickness of their initial cover is calculated to be 30 centimeters and the thickness of the final cover is calculated to be 35 centimeters.
